Sansad Chalo: 2 Lakh Students March on Parliament in Historic Gen-Z Uprising

<p>In what observers are calling the largest youth-led protest in modern Indian history, an estimated 2,00,000 students converged on Parliament Street in New Delhi on July 20, 2026, demanding accountability for the NEET-UG paper leak scandal and CBSE marking irregularities.</p><p>The march, organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) movement, saw students from over 300 cities travel to Delhi by trains, buses, and carpools. Many carried AI-generated protest art, coded slogans like "System.exit(corruption)", and wore the movement's signature yellow bandanas.</p><p>Delhi Police deployed water cannons and tear gas after a section of protesters attempted to breach the security cordon near Vijay Chowk. According to official figures, 847 students were detained across 12 police stations, though all were released within 24 hours following Supreme Court intervention.</p><p>"They called us cockroaches — creatures that survive anything," said Priya Sharma, 19, a CJP organizer from Kota.
